The veteran setter also spent four years at Florida Atlantic.
TCU volleyball announced a trio of new signing for the upcoming 2024 season. Among those players was former Florida Atlantic and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi setter/right side Stephanie Young, who also played beach volleyball at her previous two schools. Young began her collegiate career at Florida Atlantic, appearing in 253 sets across 73 matches during her four years as an Owl. Young totaled 1,034 assists along with 434 digs, 95 kills and 50 service aces at Florida Atlantic, where she played beach volleyball in 2023.

Young moved on to Texas A&M-Corpus Christi as a graduate transfer, spending one season with the beach volleyball team earlier this year. Young went 25-11 with the Islanders during the 2024 campaign, with most of her wins coming on the No. 3 court, where she went 18-10 overall. The Frisco, Texas native will use her final year of eligibility to play for the Horned Frogs, who lost starting setter Riley Buckley from the 2023 roster due to medical retirement. Sophomore Lily Nicholson finished the 2023 season as TCU’s starter in Buckley’s absence.
