The Horned Frogs celebrate their senior athletes with a three-set win against the Red Raiders.
Friday was one to remember for seniors on the No. 22 ranked TCU volleyball team, which celebrated Senior Day with a three-set sweep against Texas Tech in a Big 12 Conference match at Schollmaier Arena. The match wasn’t remotely close, as the Horned Frogs (19-7, 11-5 Big 12) held double-digit leads in two sets en route to a 25-14, 26-24, 25-11 victory over the Red Raiders. TCU, who honored four senior players including Ashlyn Bourland, Melanie Parra, Cecily Bramschreiber and Stephanie Young, will conclude the regular season with road matches against West Virginia on Wednesday and Cincinnati on Friday evening.

The Horned Frogs hit .325 for the match and held the Red Raiders to a .115 hitting rate. TCU aced Texas Tech 10 times and finished with 38 assists as a team. Stephanie Young led the Horned Frogs with 18 assists, while Lily Nicholson added 13 assists. Melanie Parra and Jalyn Gibson combined for 25 kills to lead the TCU attack. Cecily Bramschreiber posted a season-high four kills while adding seven digs on defense. Sarah Sylvester tied for the team lead with five blocks to anchor the front-row defense for the Horned Frogs on Friday night.
