The Horned Frogs made easy work of the Mountaineers as the NCAA Tournament approaches.
The No. 22 ranked TCU volleyball team opened its final week of the regular season with a three-set sweep against West Virginia on Wednesday evening. The Horned Frogs hit .429 in the third set en route to a 25-22, 25-22, 25-16 win over the Mountaineers. Melanie Parra led the charge on offense, scoring 17 kills and 11 digs for a double-double. Becca Kelley turned in one of her strongest hitting efforts of the season, notching 11 kills and a .556 hitting rate. Jalyn Gibson nearly earned a double-double of her own, posting 10 digs and nine kills.

TCU (20-7, 12-5 Big 12) totaled 47 kills compared to just 33 kills on the West Virginia side. The Horned Frogs collected six aces and finished with 46 assists in the win. Lily Nicholson sent out 32 assists to pace the TCU offense, while Sarah Sylvester posted three total blocks to anchor the Horned Frog defense up front. Alice Volpe earned nine digs to aid the TCU back-row defense in the three-set sweep on Wednesday. It was the 10th three-set sweep of the season for the Horned Frogs, who conclude the regular season against Cincinnati on Friday.

During the match, Melanie Parra eclipsed 500 kills for the season. The Preseason Big 12 Player of the Year now has over 1,000 kills in her two years with the Horned Frogs after transferring in from Texas. Parra has also exceeded 600 points for the season.
