The Tourney’s opening day delivered the Madness. See how the field fared and submit your Saturday pick
With 130 total entries, this year’s survivor pool is one of the biggest we’ve hosted here at Frogs O’ War, despite the men’s squad not being in the NCAA Tournament field this season. With only four seed-line upsets on Thursday, the bracket destruction was limited, but still there was madness throughout the day. The ACC continued to demonstrate that it is only Duke and a bunch of throwaways as 8-seed Louisville got boat raced in the day’s first game by the Creighton Blue Jays and 5-seed Clemson’s late comeback effort fell short at the hands of Will Wade’s McNeese Cowboys.

Those two results accounted for nine of the 17 eliminations from our pool on Thursday. The next most impactful result was the Kansas Jayhawk’s Hunter Dickinson experience finally coming to close with a loss to 10-seed Arkansas and John Calipari. The other eliminations all came from entrants going out on a limb a bit as the sole selectors of Georgia (loss to 8-seed Gonzaga), Missouri (loss to 11-seed Drake), Utah State (loss to 7-seed UCLA), and VCU (loss to 6-seed BYU).
