The Horned Frogs are now 7-2-1 overall and 2-0-1 in the conference
After drawing Texas Tech in its Big 12 Conference opener last week, TCU soccer rebounded with back-to-back impressive showings at Garvey-Rosenthal Stadium in Fort Worth. Caroline Kelly earned her first brace with the Horned Frogs on Thursday evening, when Seven Castain and A.J. Hennessey each scored goals to lead TCU over the BYU Cougars 4-1. The Horned Frogs continued to roll on Sunday, when TCU defeated Arizona 1-0 behind a second-half goal from Caroline Kelly, who now has five goals in 10 matches after transferring in from Saint Louis. TCU (7-2-1, 2-0-1 Big 12) has won its last three matches.

Thursday: TCU 4, BYU 1
The Horned Frogs battled back from a 1-0 deficit against the Cougars, scoring four consecutive goals to roll over BYU in Big 12 action. Seven Castain converted a penalty kick in the 32nd minute to even the score before Caroline Kelly pushed TCU ahead with a late first-half goal in the 43rd minute. Kelly cashed in a header on an assist from Cameron Patton, who crossed the ball into the BYU box before Kelly finished the go-ahead goal.

TCU earned another penalty kick early in the second half, with Kelly sending the ball into the BYU net in the 49th minute to earn her brace and give the Horned Frogs a 3-1 advantage. Freshmen Jordan Whiteaker and Morgan Brown connected on TCU’s fourth and final goal of the match late in the second half, where Whiteaker crossed the ball into the BYU box and Brown headed the ball into the net. The Horned Frogs outshot the Cougars 16-3 and reached the four-goal mark for the third time this season. Megan Plaschko recorded one save for the Horned Frogs, who shut out the BYU offense during the second half.

Sunday: TCU 1, Arizona 0
The Horned Frogs concluded their weekend with a Big 12 matchup against the Wildcats on Sunday afternoon. TCU put plenty of quality shots on goal during the first half before the offense finally broke through midway through the second half, where Caroline Kelly rolled in the first and only goal of the match. TCU once again commanded a significant offensive advantage, outshooting Arizona 15-5 and 5-1 in shots on goal. Olivia Geller recorded one save for the Horned Frogs, who earned their fifth shutout victory of the season Sunday.
