The Horned Frogs will face BYU in the semifinals on Wednesday.
The No. 7 ranked TCU soccer team entered the Big 12 Conference tournament as the No. 1 seed after clinching its third regular-season title with a win over Oklahoma State last weekend. TCU showed why its the top seed in the tournament on Saturday, when the Horned Frogs scored two second-half goals to open postseason play with a 3-1 victory against Colorado. TCU (15-2-2, 9-0-2 Big 12) will move on to face the BYU Cougars in the semifinals on Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. The match will be broadcasted on ESPN+.

TCU fell behind early in the match, as the Buffaloes converted a handspring throw into a goal off a header to take a 1-0 lead over the Horned Frogs in the first minute. TCU found the equalizer in the 30th minute, evening the score after a deflected pass rolled to the foot of forward Seven Castain, who found midfielder Camryn Lancaster crashing into the box. Lancaster sent the ball passed the Colorado goalkeeper for her second goal of the season.

TCU possessed the ball for most of the second half, where the Horned Frogs took the lead during the 74th minute before icing their first-round victory with another goal in the 80th minute. A hand-ball violation inside the Colorado box led to a penalty kick for Castain, who blasted a right-footed shot into the net to put the Horned Frogs ahead 2-1. Caroline Kelly wrapped up the win for TCU, beating the Buffalo defense into the box before sending a cross-body shot into the net for her 11th goal of the year.

Megan Plaschko finished with two saves for the Horned Frogs, who extended their unbeaten streak to 13 consecutive matches. TCU outshot Colorado 10-8 and outpaced the Buffaloes 6-3 in shots on goal and 5-3 in corner kicks. The Horned Frogs are in the semifinals and will now face BYU, who TCU defeated 4-1 at Garvey-Rosenthal Stadium in Fort Worth earlier this season. The championship match will be played on Saturday, Nov. 9.
