The Horned Frogs take second in the conference tournament and will await their postseason seed and destination.
The No. 7 ranked TCU soccer team took a scoreless draw with Kansas into the second half during the Big 12 Conference tournament finals on Saturday evening. But the Jayhawks capitalized on a penalty kick during the 66th minute, scoring to take a 1-0 lead over the Horned Frogs, who were unable to level the match. It was the first loss to a conference team this season for TCU (16-3-2, 9-0-2 Big 12), who will await their seed and destination for the upcoming NCAA tournament. The tournament selection show will be held today.

The Horned Frogs had ample opportunities to find the net, outshooting Kansas 17-7 and finishing with a 4-3 advantage in shots on goal. TCU also earned eight corner kicks in the match, while the Jayhawks received only one corner kick. Megan Plaschko totaled two saves for the Horned Frogs, who put a trio of quality shots on goal during the first half. TCU came within inches of tying the score during the 73rd minute, when a chip shot from forward Seven Castain went over the head of the Kansas goalkeeper and off the crossbar. Castain led the Horned Frogs with five total shots, while three players including Jemmie Immethun, Maddie Mooney and Cameron Patton played the entire match for TCU.
