The freshman started 43 games and made 47 appearances during his first collegiate season.
On the same day that TCU outfielder Logan Maxwell reportedly entered the transfer portal, HornedFrogBlitz also reported that freshman infielder Ryder Robinson will also depart from the program after just one season. Robinson appeared in 47 games with 43 starts during the 2024 season, slashing .215/.316/.302 with two homers, 32 hits and 20 RBIs. Robinson was a key role player for the Horned Frogs, who went 33-21 overall and 14-16 in Big 12 play.
#TCU infielder Ryder Robinson has entered the transfer portal.
The true freshman won the opening day job at third base, also spending time at second and short. He slashed .215/.302/.316 with seven doubles and two HR.
There’s a chance Robinson stays with the Horned Frogs.

Robinson played multiple infield positions including second base, shortstop and third base during the 2024 season. The freshman from Cedar Hills, Utah was a high school teammate of TCU infielder Fisher Ingersoll, who has also reportedly entered the transfer portal after two seasons in Fort Worth. Robinson’s potential departure this offseason is a notable loss for the Horned Frogs, who are set to lose redshirt senior utility player Kurtis Byrne as well as graduate transfer infielder Peyton Chatagnier. TCU could see standout sophomore shortstop Anthony Silva forgo his remaining eligibility for the 2024 MLB Draft.
