Meacham will reportedly become Mike Gundy’s next offensive coordinator.
TCU football will be losing one of its top assistant coaches, with news breaking this week that inside wide receivers coach and former co-offensive coordinator Doug Meacham will be returning to Oklahoma State and becoming the team’s next offensive coordinator. Meacham played for Oklahoma State from 1983-87 and served as Oklahoma State’s tight ends/inside wide receivers coach from 2005-12. Meacham first arrived at TCU in 2014, when he worked with Sonny Cumbie to revamp the offense under former coach Gary Patterson.

Meacham’s first stint with the Horned Frogs concluded in 2016, when he moved on to become the offensive coordinator for two seasons at Kansas. Meacham spent one year coaching the St. Louis Battlehawks in the XFL before returning to Fort Worth to serve as TCU’s inside wide receivers and tight ends coach from 2020-21. Meacham remained on the staff when TCU parted ways with Patterson and hired Sonny Dykes to be the team’s new head coach. Meacham has been TCU’s inside wide receivers coach since 2022.
