Michigan completed the 2023-24 season last place in the Big Ten with just three conference wins and an overall record of 8-24, firing head coach Juwan Howard and hiring former FAU coach Dusty May to lead the program. Despite the rough last few years, Michigan has had major recent success, reaching the Sweet Sixteen for five straight Tournaments from 2017 to 2022, including reaching the National Championship in 2018.
TCU Basketball finished the 2023-24 campaign with a 21-13 overall record, earning a trip to a third consecutive NCAA Tournament. As part of the 2024-25 non-conference schedule, the Horned Frogs are also scheduled to host the Xavier Musketeers in the Big 12-Big East Battle and participate in the Acrisure Invitational with games against Santa Clara and either Colorado State or Washington.
