With a little over a month to go before the season, the Horned Frogs’ conference schedule has been released.

The Horned Frogs will begin conference play on December 30, about two months after kicking the season off against Florida A&M on November 4. TCU will be tested early, with three of its first four contests coming against 2024 NCAA Tournament teams. The Horned Frogs first travel to Tucson, to take on the Arizona Wildcats who won 27 games in their final season competing in the Pac 12. Following the trip to Arizona, TCU returns to home to battle a familiar foe—Kansas State—before traveling south to take on the the consistently phenomenal Houston Cougars.
Even though the first three tilts are difficult, the grueling schedule doesn’t let up. TCU finishes January and begins February by squaring off against BYU, Utah, Baylor, Kansas, UCF, Texas Tech, and Colorado. Five of the seven schools mentioned above qualified for March Madness a season ago.
The second half of TCU’s conference schedule starts with a matchup against West Virginia. The Frogs will then travel to Ames, to battle the Iowa State Cyclones before returning home to take on the Oklahoma State Cowboys. To complete February, TCU has Arizona State, Texas Tech, Cincinnati, and West Virginia in store.
March will begin with a three-game slate of UCF, Baylor, and Colorado before the Big 12 Tournament commences in Kansas City, Missouri on March 11, 2025.
There’s no avoiding the exhausting Big 12 slate, however, TCU did receive a fortunate draw by playing Colorado, Texas Tech, UCF, and West Virginia twice. Of the Big 12 powerhouses, Baylor is the only school the Horned Frogs will play at home and away. Texas Tech lost a plethora of talent but retooled well enough in the offseason to be considered a formidable opponent in 2024-25. Besides the Buffaloes, TCU will play the conference newbies (Arizona, Arizona State, and Utah) once this season. Following years of home-away matchups, the Horned Frogs will embark on a second straight season of playing several squads once all season long.
