The senior and former Arizona State transfer will depart after only nine games with the Horned Frogs.
TCU senior guard Frankie Collins will reportedly enter the transfer portal after only one season with the Horned Frogs. The 6-foot-2 point guard earned a starting role and played in TCU’s first nine games of the 2024-25 season before suffering a season-ending foot injury. Collins arrived in Fort Worth after transferring in from Arizona State, where he played two seasons and started 61 of the team’s 62 games. Collins started his career at Michigan, where he played in 31 games after signing with the Wolverines as a four-star recruit.

Collins becomes the third TCU men’s basketball player to head for the transfer portal after a disappointing 2024-25 season in which the Horned Frogs finished with a 16-16 record. TCU has already lost redshirt freshman forward Isaiah Manning and sophomore guard Vasean Allette, who’ve each reportedly declared intentions to leave the program within the last week. Collins averaged 11.2 points, 4.4 rebounds and 4.4 assists in his nine games at TCU.
