The injury to Bech worried many TCU fans. Bech is TCU’s leading receiver and a Biletnikoff Award semifinalist. Fans were relieved the next day to learn that Bech’s injury was not as severe as previously thought.
BREAKING from https://t.co/mD5mygar9j: #TCU‘s Biletnikoff semifinalist WR Jack Bech suffered what looked to be a serious knee injury last night vs Cincinnati. Hauss Hejny
Freshman 4-star quarterback, Hauss Hejny, saw more playing time this game then he had all season. This was the fourth game Hejny has played in, so he is able to retain his redshirt, and play in the bowl game. Hejny did not attempt a pass, but he was very clutch in the last drive, taking off just enough time off the clock for TCU to maintain the lead. Hejny had 48 rushing yards on 8 carries.
He needs to play …….

8-4 Finish
TCU ended the season going on a 5-1 stretch, after they started the year 3-3.
At 3-3, who would have thought they could win 8 games? I’ve been very critical of the staff, but you have to give them credit. Winning 5 of 6 down the stretch is pretty impressive.

Fans acknowledge that the mid season turnaround was significant.
I know people are disappointed at the UH and UCF losses and even the Baylor loss.
But im overall positive. 8-4 and a bowl game is decent
But losing to SMU is NEVER acceptable. That’s my only negative for the season.

Despite this, some fans acknowledge that the early losses sting, especially when both teams that made the Big 12 Championship game had 2 losses.
