How do fans feel about the Horned Frogs after losing the Iron Skillet?
I’m not sure where to start. Nothing went right for TCU during Saturday’s loss to SMU in Dallas. After looking at all major social media platforms, such as Twitter (X), Facebook, and Instagram, it is quite obvious that fans are not happy. Like last week, with the social media recap of the UCF game, I will not share the super negative comments that are all over. Instead, I will cover how some fans feel about the rest of the 2024 season.
Many fans’ expectations of this TCU team have gone down.
6-6 if it all goes our way which probably won’t happen.

After the loss to SMU, most fans would be happy with a 6-6 season and a bowl game appearance. It is difficult, before the season, some believed that TCU could potentially compete for the Conference.
On the bright side, as one fan points out, TCU has eight Big 12 games ahead of them.
Full conference slate left, last skillet in our house next year. This loss sucks but still surprisingly have a chance to get to a good bowl. I will be depressed but If we can get two wins going into Utah I will feel better about this team.

TCU’s next two games are against Kansas and Houston, are both towards the bottom of the Big 12. Many fans are hopeful that the Frogs can gain a little momentum these two weeks to finish the 2022 season strong.
As for the actual game, TCU played themselves out of it with 5 turnovers and 14 penalties. It is hard to win a football game, when you are not doing yourself any favors. The lack of discipline has been a common issue for the Frogs this season.
These mistakes have been particularly frustrating to watch for TCU fans. Like this fan states, most Frog faithful on social media feel that the talent is there, and the undisciplined play cannot continue if TCU wants to win football games.
Additionally, some fans believe the team did not give up, no matter how much adversity they faced.
Hoover finally threw his first two interceptions of the season, but he eclipsed the 400 yard mark and had 4 total touchdowns. Fans were also impressed with the play of wide receiver, Jack Bech.
Jack Bech is a dog. Week after week.

Bech has been amazing this season. He has tallied 516 receiving yards with 4 touch downs. He has largely been a surprise breakout player this season for TCU.
Senior Safety, Abe Camara commented on how important the ejection of Sonny Dykes was during the beginning of the second half.
A lot to learn and reflect on but at the end of the day this was a TEAM loss and it doesn’t just fall all on one person. I love coach Dykes and would run through a brick wall a 100 times for him. This loss hurts but I can PROMISE you we will bounce back. https://t.co/nSGYdFrhpr

Camara goes on to state that he still supports Coach Dykes, and that the team will bounce back next week against Kansas.
