The TCU Horned Frogs return to Amon G. Carter Stadium for the home opener of the 2024 season, taking on the Sharks of Long Island University.
TCU opened the season on the road last Friday with a promising, if sloppy, win over the Stanford Cardinal 34-27 thanks to a big game from Josh Hoover and his trip of star targets with Jack Bech, JP Richardson, and Savion Williams. The TCU defense created havoc in the first game under defensive coordinator Andy Avalos.
LIU opened the season with a tough loss, falling at Albany 27-21. The Sharks took a 21-17 3rd quarter lead but were blanked the rest of the game. Star running back Ludovick Choquette rushed for 128 yards on 8.5 yards per carry while quarterback Luca Stanzani tossed three touchdowns.
With the Big 12 opener scheduled for next week, the Horned Frogs will look to clean up the penalties and mistakes and move to 2-0 on the season while the FCS challengers from LIU try to pick up a major upset and earn its first win of the season.
We’ll see how it plays out tonight at 7:00 PM from Fort Worth, on ESPN+. Join the conversation in the comment section below as we ride the game day rollercoaster together. Go Frogs!
