Hosting Big 12 newcomer in home finale, the Horned Frogs look to climb conference standings,
The Arizona Wildcats (4-6, 2-5 Big 12) visit Fort Worth for the first time since 1999 and the first time as conference mates as members of the Big 12. It’s a must-win game for the Wildcats in the pursuit of bowl eligibility, coming off a win over the Houston Cougars where the Wildcats forced three turnovers and RB Quali Conley ran wild in his best game of the season. The Horned Frogs defense will be served the tough task of stopping Conley and future First Round NFL Draft pick wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan. The Biletnikoff semifinalist currently ranks third nationally with 113.6 receiving yards per game and will be one of the biggest challenges the Horned Frogs will have to handle all season.
TCU has a Biletnikoff semifinalist of its own with Jack Bech earning the honor with 98.2 yards per game and 9 touchdowns. He’s one of an arsenal of weapons available to QB Josh Hoover has spread his 22 passing TDs to seven different pass catchers. Somehow JP Richardson hasn’t found the endzone this season but continues to be a big producer and could be set for another monster game after reaching 100 yards vs. OK State last time out. Although TCU has struggled to efficiently run the ball, the Frogs have found creative ways to get athletes the ball, including receiver Savion Williams handling a healthy portion of the workload over the last four games, while Cam Cook has had a nose for the end zone, scoring eight times.
