The Horned Frogs continue Big 12 play in Kansas City as both squads seek first conference win
The TCU Horned Frogs close out September with a return to Big 12 play, traveling to Kansas City to take on the Kansas Jayhawks in a battle of two highly disappointing squads four games into the season.
KU came into the season with high expectations, picked fourth in the Big 12 Preseason media poll with major returning talent on both sides of the ball. However the season hasn’t gone to plan as the Jayhawks have fallen on the wrong side of three straight one-score games with its only victory of the 2024 campaign being over FCS Lindenwood. QB Jalon Daniels continues to be a dangerous athlete, but he has been a turnover factory this season, throwing seven interceptions and losing two fumbles. The Kansas offense is powered by its running game, with Devin Neal as on of the nation’s best backs, spelled by the similarly scary Daniel Hishaw Jr.
TCU also enters the contest on a down note, following a program low-point blowout loss to SMU last week. QB Josh Hoover is currently fourth in the nation in passing yards per game, but also leads the nation in fumbles lost as the offense has been fully heaped on his shoulders due to a rushing game that ranks in the bottom-15 nationally in yards per game. WR Jack Bech has been the breakout star of the TCU offense, with a top-5 nationally 129 yards per game.
