Horned Frogs battle former C-USA rival for first time in two decades, now as members of the Big 12
The TCU Horned Frogs (7-4, 5-3 Big 12) go on the road for the season finale to take on the Cincinnati Bearcats (5-6, 3-5 Big 12) at Nippert Stadium on Saturday night.
The Bearcats enter the game on a four game losing streak after looking incredibly dangerous early in the season. UC dominated teams that TCU lost to, defeating Houston & UCF a combined 43-13 and has big talent in both sides of the ball. QB Brendan Sorsby has been a revelation since coming over from Indiana, throwing for over 2,600 yards and 18 TDs with just six interceptions on the season. RB Corey Kiner is already a 1,000+ yard rusher and is capable of going beast mode on any defense.
TCU enters the game having won four of its last five, but has been eliminated from conference title contention due to early season blunders. QB Josh Hoover is 2nd in the Big 12 with 317 passing yards per game with a deep stable of receivers led by Biletnikoff semifinalist Jack Bech and do-it-all weapon Savion Williams. Despite the offensive success, the Frogs remain among the worst nationally in offensive turnovers, with 20 total giveaways.
