The Horned Frog standout made a huge impact during her team’s friendly match against FC Juarez.
Former TCU soccer star Messiah Bright turned in a stellar performance during National Women’s Soccer League action Sunday evening, when Bright’s Angel City FC squad held a friendly match against Liga MX’s FC Juarez at BMO Stadium in Los Angeles. Bright tallied three goals for the hat trick as Angel City FC dominated FC Juarez for a 7-0 victory. Bright was acquired in a trade after beginning her NWSL career with the Orlando Pride.

Bright scored all three of her goals during the opening half and received NWSL Player of the Match honors on Sunday evening. The 24-year-old forward has made one start in the 2024 NWSL season after coming over from the Orlando Pride, where she scored six goals over 15 starts during the 2023 season. Bright is entering her second professional season after being selected in the second round of the 2023 NWSL Draft by the Orlando Pride. Bright appeared in 103 matches over her five-year career at TCU, where she scored 50 goals and added 18 assists. Bright was a three-time All-Big 12 First Team honoree at TCU.
