The Horned Frogs add a veteran defensive back to their secondary for the 2025 campaign.
While the TCU Horned Frogs were preparing to take on Louisiana at the New Mexico Bowl, multiple reports indicated that the team was expected to receive a commitment from former Washington cornerback Elijah Jackson. That news became official earlier today, with TCU football announcing on its X platform that Jackson had signed with the Horned Frogs. Jackson spent five seasons with the Huskies, totaling 89 tackles, seven pass breakups and three forced fumbles during that stretch. Jackson is most known for his game-clinching pass breakup during Washington’s College Football Playoff victory over Texas in 2023.

Jackson appeared in seven games during the 2024 season, recording 17 total tackles with two pass breakups. His most significant contributions came during the 2023 season, when he finished with 61 total tackles and two forced fumbles while helping the Huskies reach the College Football Playoff. The fifth-year junior has one year of eligibility remaining and will compete for a starting job with the Horned Frogs, who were without cornerbacks Avery Helm and Vernon Glover Jr. for the 2024 season. TCU will be losing senior cornerbacks JaTravis Broughton and LaMareon James, who combined for 73 tackles and 19 breakups. Jackson is the eighth transfer portal addition for the Horned Frogs in this cycle.
