The Horned Frogs leading receiver will play a fifth season in Fort Worth
The TCU Horned Frogs will have its leading receiver back for another season as senior Savion Williams announced via social media that he would be returning to Fort Worth for a fifth season. In 2023 Williams had 41 receptions for 573 yards and four touchdowns, including a breakout performance vs. the Texas Longhorns with 11 catches for 164 yards and a score.
Savion Williams has played in 40 games through his four seasons at TCU, reaching the end zone eight times and gaining over 1,000 yards on 77 receptions. Williams’ return is a major boost for the Frogs; TCU will return a deep and experienced pass-catcher group, but with Warren Thompson and TE Jared Wiley out of eligibility and highly touted prospect Cordale Russell entering the transfer portal, Williams will again have high expectations as the leader of the group in 2024.
Williams came to TCU as a member of the Class of 2020, where he was a four-star product out of Marshall, TX, ranking as a top-30 WR nationally and a a top-30 overall player in the state of Texas, per 247Sports
