The Ragin’ Cajuns enter the game with a 10-3 record as Sun Belt runner-up after dropping the conference title game to Marshall 31-3 on Saturday. Louisiana won its one game versus a Power 4 opponent this season, defeating Wake Forest in Winston-Salem, NC. This will be TCU’s first ever time to participate in the New Mexico Bowl and marks the first ever football matchup between Louisiana and TCU. However the two universities have played post-season showdowns in other events, including a pair of baseball battles in the 2022 College Station Regional with the Cajuns taking the first game before TCU won the elimination game in the rematch.
