The All-Big 12 defensive back will be back for the Horned Frogs next fall.
TCU redshirt junior free safety Bud Clark announced on X that he will return to the Horned Frogs for the 2025 season. An All-Big 12 Second Team honoree and a team captain this fall, Clark totaled a career-best 67 tackles while adding three interceptions, one forced fumble and six pass breakups during the 2024 campaign. Clark has been a fixture for the TCU secondary, appearing in 50 games with 22 starts over his five years with the Horned Frogs.

Clark is one of two starting safeties who will be back in the mix for the 2025 campaign. True sophomore strong safety and former four-star recruit Jamel Johnson removed his name from the transfer portal after initially leaving the program last month. With Johnson and Clark returning for the 2025 season, eyes will now shift to redshirt senior nickelback Abe Camara, who On3’s Pete Nakos reported to have entered the transfer portal before his tweet was deleted moments later. Camara, who has played four seasons at TCU, started his career at Coffeyville Community College, meaning he could be eligible for a JUCO waiver after the recent lawsuit involving Vanderbilt starting quarterback Diego Pavia.
