TCU senior offensive tackle Marcus Williams announced on Instagram that he will be entering the transfer portal after six seasons with the Horned Frogs. The 6-foot-7, 320-pounder began his career at TCU in 2019 and was a three-star recruit out of high school. Williams, who hails from Longview, Texas and played at Longview High School, appeared in 13 games and totaled 103 snaps during the 2022 season, where the Horned Frogs made the national championship. Williams made seven appearances for TCU during the 2023 season.
Williams made two appearances during the 2020 season and one appearance during the 2021 season. The sixth-year senior offensive tackle redshirted during his first season on campus in 2019. Williams, who was a two-time Academic All-Big 12 honoree as a Horned Frog, is the first TCU football player to enter the transfer portal this season. The Horned Frogs are currently 7-4 overall and 5-3 in the Big 12 after their 49-38 win over Arizona.
