The former Old Dominion transfer shined in his lone season with the Horned Frogs.
TCU senior cornerback LaMareon James announced on X earlier this afternoon that he will declare for the 2025 NFL Draft after one season with the Horned Frogs. The former transfer from Old Dominion emerged as a key playmaker on defense, finishing with 35 total tackles and a team-high 14 pass breakups along with one interception. James shined over the final two games of the season, recording five pass breakups across TCU’s wins against Cincinnati and Louisiana. The 5-foot-10, 190-pounder appeared in all 13 games for TCU after starting all 13 games for Old Dominion last season, when he was an All-Sun Belt Honorable Mention.

James was one of only two cornerbacks to record an interception this season for the Horned Frogs, who held their opponents to 14.25 points per game over the final four games of the season. The Norfolk, Virginia native started his collegiate career at Old Dominion, recording 86 total tackles, 12 pass breakups, two interceptions and two forced fumbles over three seasons before finishing his career at TCU. James appeared in 38 games with 13 starts at Old Dominion, where he was also a key special teams contributor.
