The former four-star out of North Crowley returns to Fort Worth after two seasons with the Tigers
TCU Football made another transfer portal splash on Saturday, announcing the signing of former LSU tight end Ka’Morreun Pimpton. The Fort Worth native returns home after two seasons in Baton Rouge where he played in 19 games, making seven receptions for 80 yards. A former four-star prospect out of North Crowley High School, Pimpton was ranked as the No. 6 tight end nationally in the 2023 Class and a top-25 overall player from Texas.

Listed at 6-foot-6, 242-pounds, Pimpton joins DJ Rogers in a TCU tight end room that will be without graduating senior Drake Dabney. The TCU offense did not much utilize the tight end position in 2024, as Dabney & Rogers combined for just 251 total yards; however another former LSU tight end flourished as Jack Bech went over 1,000 receiving yards with 9 touchdowns in a receiver role in 2024 while Jared Wiley was an impressive offensive weapon at the position for TCU in 2022-23.
Pimpton will join fellow former North Crowley Panthers defensive lineman Sterlin Brooks and defensive back Julian Knox on the Horned Frogs roster. He becomes TCU’s seventh addition in the winter portal window and second out of LSU, joining defensive back Kylin Jackson.
