The Horned Frogs pick up a redshirt sophomore who appeared in 12 games during the 2024 season.
TCU football is using the spring transfer portal window to add offensive line depth, gaining a commitment from Abilene Christian redshirt sophomore Dylan Kinney on Saturday. The 6-foot-3, 310-pounder from Richmond, Texas appeared in 12 games during the 2024 season and spent the first three years of his collegiate career with the Wildcats. Kinney is the first spring portal addition for the Horned Frogs, who concluded spring practices on Friday.
Thank you to everyone for your support during my time in the transfer portal! I’m excited to announce my commitment to TCU and can’t wait to join Horned Frog Nation! Big thanks to @TheProtectUCrew for making this transition smooth. Let’s get to work! @TCUFootball @CoachRickerOL pic.twitter.com/clmFp8pAz6

TCU has seen two players depart during the spring window, one of them being freshman offensive lineman Mitch Hodnett. The Horned Frogs are looking to replace multiple starters on the offensive line including center James Brockermeyer, who transferred to Miami after the 2024 season, as well as tackles Bless Harris and Mike Nichols. TCU signed four high school offensive linemen in Logan Schram, Witten Van Hoy, Jackson Jones and Kilian Registe during the 2025 recruiting cycle. TCU also picked up a transfer signing during the winter, gaining a commitment from former Incarnate Word lineman Rasheed Jackson.
