The Horned Frogs are loading up in the trenches for the 2026 class.
If it wasn’t evident that the TCU Horned Frogs are looking for a rebuild in the trenches, look no further than the 2026 recruiting class, which now features three defensive linemen and two EDGE rushers after the commitment from three-star EDGE prospect Amontre Harris on Tuesday morning. Harris, who becomes TCU’s second EDGE of the 2026 class and the seventh overall prospect in the class, resides in Humble, Texas and plays his high school football at Summer Creek, where he totaled 52 tackles and 10 sacks as a junior in 2024.

The 6-foot-4, 220-pounder also notched 18 tackles for loss and four fumble recoveries during his junior season with Summer Creek. Harris, who holds offers from SMU and Houston, was a member of Summer Creek’s 14-2 Texas 6A D-II state runner-up team as a sophomore in 2023. Of the seven TCU recruits who are committed for the 2026 class, three are defensive linemen (Jesse Ford, Duncan McGhee and Maddox Flynt) and two are EDGE rushers (Amontre Harris and Carter Buck). With Harris pledging to the Horned Frogs, TCU now holds the No. 28 ranked recruiting class in the country for the 2026 cycle.
