The Horned Frogs add their second defensive line prospect in as many days.
TCU football continued to cook on the recruiting trail Tuesday evening, securing a commitment from JUCO defensive lineman Perry Cole. It’s the second JUCO defensive line recruit in two days for the Horned Frogs, who received a pledge from Jones College three-star prospect Kelten Mickell on Monday. Cole is a three-star prospect from Palestine, Texas who currently plays for Trinity Valley Community College. The 6-foot-3, 290-pounder held offers from Arizona, Houston, Minnesota and more before committing to the Horned Frogs.

Cole ranks as the No. 16 JUCO prospect nationally under the 247Sports composite ratings system. Cole, who becomes the 27th recruit for the Horned Frogs in this cycle, recorded 33 total tackles, one forced fumble and four sacks at Trinity Valley Community College during his freshman season this fall. Cole is the fifth defensive lineman to choose TCU in this cycle, joining Kelten Mickell as well as Floyd Guidry III, Brody Whatley and Blake Robinett. The Horned Frogs now have the 22nd ranked recruiting class in 2025 according to 247Sports.
