Horned Frogs make another major recruiting splash, bringing the 2025 Class to 21 members
TCU Football’s June recruiting hot streak hit surface-of-the-sun status on Friday afternoon, with four-star Brownsboro, TX cornerback Micah Strickland announcing his commitment to the Horned Frogs via Instagram. Strickland becomes the 21st member of the TCU 2025 recruiting class, and the tenth this month. Strickland chose the Horned Frogs over offers from Michigan, Nebraska, Baylor, and Texas Tech among others.

A former Brownsboro Bears teammate of TCU 2024 four-star wide receiver Gekyle Baker, and like Baker, Strickland also competes at a high level in track & field and basketball. The 6-foot, 175-pound DB earned First Team All-District honors in 2023 and is one of the nation’s top high school cornerbacks, ranking in the Top 15 at his position, and a Top 25 overall player in the state of Texas per the 247Sports Composite ratings. Strickland becomes the top rated player TCU’s class, ranked No. 156 overall nationally, three spots ahead of EDGE Chad Woodfork.
