One of the most electric playmakers in Horned Frogs history, Jeremy Kerley was twice named MWC Special Teams Player of the Year
85 | WR Jeremy Kerley (2007-2010)
Few people in TCU history have been as dynamic with the ball in his hands as Jeremy Kerley during his four seasons in Fort Worth. In a long lineage of outstanding Horned Frog kick returners, Kerley stands out, delivering over 2,300 return yards and two touchdowns, averaging 17.6 yards per return. The Hutto, TX native earned Mountain West Conference Special Teams Player of the Year and First Team All-Conference in 2009 & 2010 as a return specialist as the Frogs accomplished undefeated regular seasons and reached BCS bowls both years.
Kerley was also an electric weapon on offense, catching 120 passes from Andy Dalton for 1,299 receiving yards and 12 receiving touchdowns. Even measuring just 5-foot-10, 190 pounds, he was also a feared threat in the run game, especially in goal-to-go situations, adding another 306 yards and eight touchdowns. As a former high school quarterback, Kerley was also deployed on trick plays as a passer, completing seven passes for 135 yards, with a touchdown pass to Bart Johnson in Rice-Eccles Stadium in the 2010 dismantling of the No. 5 Utah Utes.
After his decorated TCU career, Kerley would be drafted by the New York Jets in the 5th Round of the 2011 NFL Draft. He would spend eight seasons in the NFL, accumulating 270 receptions for 3,116 yards and 13 touchdowns along with 1,503 punt return yards and one touchdown.
