The top rated prospect in TCU’s 2024 Class, multisport star Gekyle Baker joins the Horned Frogs
84 | WR Gekyle Baker
TCU’s top rated prospect from the Class of 2024, Brownsboro, TX wide receiver Gekyle Baker has officially joined the roster on GoFrogs.com, assigned the number 84. He was not an early enrollee as he was busy in the spring winning medals at the track & field, including a bronze in the high jump at the Texas UIL State Championships, also competing in long jump, relay sprints, and individual sprints. Baker is not only a standout at the track and on the football field, he is also a baller for the Brownsboro basketball team, scoring over 1,000 career points for the Bears.
Baker broke out on the football field in his sophomore season, with 1,081 yards and 12 touchdowns and by the time he graduated he became the Brownsboro all-time leader in receptions, receiving yards, and touchdowns, along with many single-game and single-season records.
While the Horned Frogs boast solid depth in the wide receiver room, with major returning pieces like Savion Williams and JP Richardson, along with incoming transfers Eric McAlister (Boise State) and Braylon James (Notre Dame), Baker and his elite athleticism will have a chance to compete and be a big contributor for years to come.
