Offensive Tackle Aviante Collins played in 49 games for the Horned Frogs, including three bowl games
69 | OL Aviante Collins (2012-2016)
Stepping onto campus just as the Horned Frogs were set to begin its first season in the Big 12, Aviante Collins was immediately thrown into the fire, starting and playing in all 13 games as a true freshman. The 6-foot-6, 305 pound offensive tackle would go on to play 46 games for the Horned Frogs, including the 2012 Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl, the 2014 Peach Bowl, and the 2016 Liberty Bowl.
Following his Horned Frogs career, Collins was invited to the 2017 NFL Combine where he was a standout performer, including a 4.81-second 40-yard dash that ranks as one of the fastest times ever for an offensive lineman. Despite the highly rated measurables, Collins was not selected in the 2017 NFL Draft, signing as a free agent with the Minnesota Vikings, playing three games as a rookie. After four years in Minnesota, Collins would spend time with the Steelers and Cowboys before joining the Chicago Bears in 2023 where he is still a member of the active roster.
