A four-star prospect out of Fort Worth All Saints, James Brockermeyer was the top rated center and a top-200 player nationally in the Class of 2021, electing to commit to Nick Saban and the Alabama Crimson Tide. Seeing limited action in his first two seasons in Tuscaloosa, Brockermeyer would play every game of the 2023 season as Alabama won the SEC Championship and earned a trip to the College Football Playoffs. With Saban’s retirement, the 6-foot-3 285-pound offensive lineman transferred home to join Sonny Dykes and the Horned Frogs offense experiencing widespread turnover at every OL position. Brockermeyer is expected to compete with Coltin Deery and others for the TCU starting center role this fall.
