A five-year starting punter for the Horned Frogs, Jordy Sandy booted over 10,000 yards worth of punts, pinning 91 kicks inside the 20-yard line (35%) with only 16 rolling into the endzone for a touchback (6%). The Australian had 35 career 50+-yard kicks, with two coming in the Fiesta Bowl College Football Playoff win over the Michigan Wolverines. Sandy would be named to the All-Big 12 Second Team in 2020 with Honorable Mention recognition in 2022 & 2023.
Sandy’s on-field performance was about more than just improving field position and helping the Horned Frogs win football games, the Australian pledged a $20 donation to Fort Worth’s Hope Center for Autism for every punt he stuck inside the opponent 20-yard line, with many Frog fans matching the commitment.
