A three-star safety out of New Orleans in the Class of 2017, Garret Wallow would go on to become a two-time First-Team All-Big 12 linebacker, leading the Horned Frogs in tackling in both 2019 & 2020. Seeing action in every game during his four years on campus, Wallow started half the games in 2018 and still racked up 72 tackles, good for third best on the team. 2019 would be the break out for Wallow, producing a Big 12-leading 125 total tackles with his 77 solo tackles ranking top 25 all-time in conference history. He again powered the defense in the COVID-shortened 2020 season with 90 tackles in 10 games, including the game-winning stop and forced fumble on Keaontay Ingram’s goal line run, delivering the victory over No. 10 Texas Longhorns
Wallow would be drafted by the Houston Texans in the Fifth Round of the 2021 NFL Draft where he would play 32 games in 2+ seasons, including all 17 games in his rookie season. During the 2023 season he was placed on the practice squad by Houston before the Tennessee Titans signed him to the active roster where he would make six tackles in three games and is still on the roster headed into the 2024 training camp.
