The Horned Frogs make their first notable splash of the offseason.
Kendall Rogers of D1 Baseball reported Wednesday evening that the TCU baseball team has earned a commitment from former Washington State third baseman Cole Cramer, who recorded a .345/.425/.487 slash line for the Cougars during the 2024 season. Cramer hit three home runs and 15 doubles with 37 RBIs over 53 games and 52 starts. The junior from Arlington, Washington will play his senior season for the Horned Frogs in 2025.

Cramer began his career at Linn-Benton Community College in Oregon, where he played the 2022 and 2023 seasons before transferring to Washington State. Cramer enjoyed a successful two-year stint at the JUCO level, batting .295 with 17 RBIs and 20 runs scored as a freshman before hitting .320 with eight doubles and 20 RBIs as a sophomore. Cramer stole 24 bases over two JUCO seasons and added seven steals for Washington State.
Cramer will look to fill a void at the third base position, which the Horned Frogs struggled to fill during the 2024 season without former star Brayden Taylor, who was taken in the first round of the 2023 MLB Draft. TCU added two transfers last offseason in former Ole Miss infielder Peyton Chatagnier and former Pepperdine infielder Jack Basseer, but both players struggled this season. Freshman Ryder Robinson has also entered the transfer portal.
