The Horned Frogs add their second notable player of the offseason.
TCU baseball added another notable transfer this week, with former Washington left-hander Gianluca Shinn reportedly committing to the Horned Frogs. The 6-foot-2, 210-pounder from Menlo Park, California appeared in 22 games during the 2023 season, recording a 5.74 ERA with 25 strikeouts and 16 walks over 31.1 innings thrown. Shinn is currently a redshirt junior who began his career with Folsom Lake College before continuing on at Washington.

Shinn totaled 42 appearances and 43 innings over his three seasons with the Huskies, concluding the three-year stint with a 5.86 ERA and 33 strikeouts with 23 walks. Shinn is the second player from the Pac-12 Conference added through the transfer portal this offseason, as TCU recently gained a commitment from former Washington State infielder Cole Cramer. Shinn boasts a low-to-mid 90s fastball, a low-80s slider and a mid-80s changeup.
