Cawyer ranked second on the TCU baseball team in relief appearances and made one start during his first season with the Horned Frogs. The 6-foot-3, 210-pounder from Fort Worth, Texas transferred to TCU after spending two seasons with McLennan College. Cawyer is the second TCU pitcher to be taken in the 2024 MLB Draft, following left-hander Payton Tolle, who was selected by the Boston Red Sox with the 50th overall choice in the second round.
