Gracie Morris represented the Horned Frogs at the NCAA National Championships once again.
The TCU women’s cross country team competed in seven team events during the 2023 season, with Gracie Morris representing the Horned Frogs at the NCAA National Championships for the second consecutive season. Three seniors including Gracie Morris, Jasmin Muhammad-Graham and Peyton McQuillan led the way for TCU this past fall.
TCU started the 2023 season with the John McKenzie Invitational in Fort Worth, where the Horned Frogs finished second out of six schools with 44 points. The month of September continued with the Gerald Richey UTA Invitational, where TCU took third out of six schools with 58 points. The Horned Frogs finished fourth at the Texas A&M Invitational on Sept. 15 before concluding the month at the Chile Pepper Invitational in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
The Horned Frogs raced at two events in October, with the Horned Frogs taking 14th at the Arturo Barrios Invitational in College Station before finishing eighth out of 14 schools during the Big 12 Conference Championships in Ames, Iowa on Oct. 28. TCU went on to finish ninth out of 24 schools at the NCAA South Central Regional in Fayetteville, where Gracie Morris took eighth with a time of 20:33.7 to qualify for the NCAA National Championships once again. Morris finished eighth out of 180 runners who logged times in the regional meet.
TCU will have several runners eligible to return for the 2024 campaign. Among those runners are juniors London Culbreath, Rylan Engels and Mariana Martinez as well as sophomores Jenna Buchanan, Maria Coral, Gabby Martin, Elena Viejo and Jordan White. Freshmen Olivia Andrews, McKenzie Bailey, Sasha Crawford, Tabitha Kalunde Ngao, Georgia Scott, Kate Selover and Josey Whitaker are also eligible to come back for the 2024 season.
