The Horned Frogs competed in seven team events during the fall.
The TCU men’s cross country team will be back in action this coming fall for the 2024 season. The Horned Frogs are looking to build on a successful 2023 campaign, where TCU raced in seven events including the Big 12 Conference Championships and the NCAA South Central Regional in Fayetteville, Arkansas. TCU was led by six seniors in 2023 including Drake Young, Graydon Morris, Ryan Martin, Gabriel Diaz, Josh Benford and Ethan Anderson.
The Horned Frogs opened the 2023 season in September, when TCU hosted the John McKenzie Invitational and finished second out of six schools with 68 points. The Horned Frogs followed their season opener with a first-place finish at the Richey Invitational in Arlington, where TCU took first out of six schools with 29 points. The season continued in College Station on Sept. 15, when TCU finished fourth out of 13 schools with 131 points at the Texas A&M Invitational. The Horned Frogs concluded the month of September at the Chile Pepper Festival in Fayetteville, Arkansas, where TCU took 14th place as a team.
October featured one final tune-up competition before the Big 12 Conference meet and the NCAA South Central Regional. TCU started the month with the Arturo Barrios Invitational in College Station, where the Horned Frogs finished 22nd as a team. TCU raced in the Big 12 Conference Championships in Ames, Iowa on Oct. 28, taking 11th out of 12 schools. The Horned Frogs concluded the 2023 season at the NCAA South Central Regional on Nov. 10, finishing 13th as a team. TCU did not qualify for the NCAA National Championships.
Among the runners eligible to return for the 2024 campaign are juniors Stone Burke, Cory Hatchel, Colin Lantz, Clay MacDonald, Finn Riley and Noah Winters as well as sophomores Gianni Henry, Giovouni Henry and freshmen Alex Arnold, Grant Martinez, CJ Meyer, Drew Oliver and Tate Underwood.
