Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks had a great night on Thursday.
Led by Doncic’s 36 points, Dallas routed the Minnesota Timberwolves in Game 5 to take home the Western Conference title and advance to the NBA Finals where they’ll meet the Boston Celtics. The Mavericks will be trying to win their first NBA title since 2011.
After the Mavericks clinched the Western Conference title, Doncic was hanging out with his father and drinking a celebratory beer before Dallas franchise legend and current vice president of basketball ops Michael Finley came up and stole it after congratulating him.
It was a hilarious moment.
Luka Doncic was chilling with his dad while drinking a beer, and Michael Finley just took it away 😭

Doncic just wanted to finish that beer with his dad but Finley had other ideas.
Finley is a former NBA player and helped the San Antonio Spurs win the NBA Finals in 2007. He spent 17 seasons in the NBA, playing for the Phoenix Suns, Dallas Mavericks, Spurs, and the Celtics.
He finished his career averaging 15.7 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 2.9 assists per game.
Two of Finley’s former teams will now play each other for this year’s NBA championship. The NBA Finals will get underway next Thursday, Jun. 6 in Boston.
Tip-off will be at 8:30 p.m. ET on ABC.
