Taking on the vaunted duo of Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving for the Mavericks, the Sixers did a solid job of containing the supporting cast and they walked away with a 120-116 victory. It was an impressive effort for everybody involved as Philadelphia received 28 points and five rebounds out of Tobias Harris who was tough to stop all day long.

Austin Krell @NBAKrell
Maxey dominated the 1st half and didn’t do much in the 2nd half.
That was OK because Oubre did nothing in the 1st half and dominated the 2nd half.
Tobias Harris, meanwhile, did his thing all game long.

That’s a great road win for the Sixers. Got something different every quarter — huge Maxey open, Tobias closing, and an Oubre outburst.

More on this storyline
Joel Embiid recently had a nearly hour-long conversation with Tobias Harris, an attempt by the reigning MVP to help pull his 76ers teammate out of his “rough patch” since returning from the All-Star break. In his first public comments after knee surgery in early February, Embiid said Thursday that he remained hopeful that he will return to the court this season. In the meantime, however, that time spent with Harris is an example of how he hopes to make an intangible impact while rehabbing. “What I’ve learned, being around, is my presence helps a lot,” Embiid said following the Sixers’ practice in Camden. “… as much as I can be around, that’s what I’m always going to do.” -via The Philadelphia Inquirer / March 1, 2024
What are some of your goals for after the All-Star break? Tyrese Maxey: For me, I want to just keep building this culture with our team. Our coach, Nick Nurse, came in and is trying to establish something different. I feel like we’ve done that. It’s crazy because Joel Embiid, Tobias Harris and then me as the longest-tenured guys on the 76ers. That’s just so hard to believe because time flies. I’ve really been here for four years now. So that’s crazy. I still feel extremely young. I still feel like it’s my first day. I’m just trying to keep building this culture, keep guys happy and keep the organization happy, go out, compete and keep winning games. -via For The Win / February 23, 2024
Keith Pompey: De’Anthony Melton, Nico Batum, Tobias Harris and Kyle Lowry all practiced today unrestricted. Robert Covington did not practice. #Sixers -via Twitter @PompeyOnSixers / February 21, 2024
