Normally, on a game day you might be up ‘til 12 or 1 a.m., because you don’t gotta be up until 8 or 9, so you’re still getting your 6–8 hours. But we had to be up early—we were playing at like 2:00 p.m. or something. So I probably went to bed at like 11, maybe even earlier. When I woke up, I knew something happened. I had missed calls from other NBA players—Zach LaVine, D’Lo… I was like, “Why do I have three missed calls from D’Lo? A couple from Zach? What’s going on?” I saw my agent calling too.
