Dallas snaps a four-game losing streak
The Dallas Mavericks snapped a four-game losing streak, easily dispatching the San Antonio Spurs 110-93 Saturday night in Dallas.
This was a sleepy, somewhat breezy game, which for Mavericks fans is much-needed after the agonizing losses suffered over the last week. Dallas took care of business in the worst way, and made sure there was no clutch-drama to worry about in this one.
Kirk had a much-deserved night off and to be honest, the timing couldn’t be better — there wasn’t much to talk about in this one. The Spurs sat out Devin Vassell and Victor Wembanyama, so the roster they rolled out tonight was even worse than what the Mavericks saw Thursday night in Utah. The Spurs shot in the mid-to-low 30s for almost the entire game and never felt like they were seriously challenging the Mavericks, even when Dallas trailed after the first quarter.

I don’t talk for too long, but start off the show discussing why the Mavericks had to win this game, and win it comfortably. Mission accomplished! From there I discuss Daniel Gafford’s scoring off the bench and why it makes sense from him to stay in that role, Dereck Lively’s much-needed bounce back game, and the Mavericks paint and rim defense finally coming through for them.
Dallas comes right back Sunday night for a much more interesting game against the Oklahoma City Thunder, and Kirk will be back to discuss. Join us!
