The Dallas Mavericks fell for the fifth time this season, this time against the Denver Nuggets with a final score of 122-120. Nikola Jokic ate Dallas alive on the boards and the Nuggets shot nearly 50% from three. Kyrie Irving played amazing, hitting 17 of 22 field goal attempts, but it wasn’t enough. Following the game, Josh and I talked about the contest.
Unlike the Phoenix Suns game, I was less mad and more disappointed. Josh and I talk about the high and low points before recapping the game and we sort of glance over Kyrie Irving playing so incredibly well. After a discussion of the game, we break and then return to hit on some more specific things.

Dallas is better than how they’re playing but injuries are keeping this team down. Josh really wants to note that it’s hard to expect defense out of a team that is missing so many at the top of their rotation. He’s right, but I’m still annoyed with how the game is called and what Dallas is not getting out of their line ups. We eventually work out way back to some of the more obscure things with this game and finally remember how awesome Kyrie was by the very end. Annoying game, this one. On to the next.
