Dallas takes down Orlando in a huge win
The Dallas Mavericks played game two of a five game homestand Sunday night and blew out the Orlando Pacers, 108-85. Dallas needed a strong win after a frustrating Halloween performance. Following the game, Josh Bowe and I recorded a recap podcast.
We open with Josh explaining to me what happened in the first two quarters as I wasn’t able to watch the game, though I was listening. He said that after an ugly first quarter, Dallas detonated in the opening minutes of the second period and it wasn’t much of a game after that. Dallas ran away with it and that allowed me to pepper Josh with questions about what he saw. In short, Luka Doncic played better and Orlando didn’t have the offense to keep up.

After the break, we close out the show with the little things we liked about this performance. Dallas needed a bit of a breakout offensive game and while the Magic weren’t much of a match, it was good to see the Mavericks still have a lot they can do on the court. Passing from Klay Thompson and Naji Marshall, for example, was really fun to see and served as a reminder that Dallas can be very multiple.
With another game tomorrow night, Josh and I will be back at it late following the Mavericks playing the Pacers!
