The Brooklyn Nets and Dallas Mavericks have yet to submit their trade of Kyrie Irving to the league office as the sides work to expand the deal to involve a third team, sources tell Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.
The Nets are actively evaluating opportunities to widen the scope of the trade.
But the deal is expected to become official in a couple of hours unless the Nets find something bigger to fold into it by then.
The Mavericks want Irving to be available to practice on Tuesday and play in Wednesday’s game against the Los Angeles Clippers.
