West coast road trip
The Dallas Mavericks (31-26) head back out to the West coast, this time to play the Golden State Warriors (29-27). The Mavericks have won five of six, including a prior game against the Warriors. Dallas looks great, even if they’re playing line ups that likely won’t see the light of day if everyone is healthy. The Warriors have won four of five, with that lone loss coming to the Mavericks. This is a national TV game so expect a great one. Here’s the other things you should know:
- WHO: Dallas Mavericks at Golden State Warriors
- WHAT: Start of a West coast road trip
- WHERE: Chase Center, San Francisco, California
- WHEN: 2:30 pm CST
- HOW: WFAA, any ABC affiliate, MavsTV, and Playback with Kirk, Matthew, and David
The injury report reads the exact same as the game from Friday. Anthony Davis, Daniel Gafford, Dereck Lively, and Caleb Martin are out with their injuries. Dwight Powell is doubtful again, but he’s also not that useful against the Warriors. PJ Washington is questionable again, which I find odd after he played the other night. I expect him to play. For the Warriors, Jackson-Davis is out as is Jonathan Kuminga.
The match up to watch today is Jimmy Butler against whoever is on him. He played badly against the Mavericks last game and the Warriors lost. I expect him to foul hunt and get those nonsense calls on repeat as the game is at home. Kyrie’s been on fire for Dallas, so if he plays well, Dallas stands a good chance, even if they are small. This should be a fun game.
As you can tell below, you can join me and some other Mavs Moneyball guys in a room on Playback (embedded below) during the game (though I may not be able to start it until halftime). Also, consider joining Josh and I on Pod Maverick live after the game on YouTube, we should start after the game. Thanks so much for spending time with us here at Mavs Moneyball. Let’s go Mavs!
