Basketball gets played yay thrilling woo lfg
The longest road trip of the season continues for the Dallas Mavericks (26-24) as they are in Pennsylvania Tuesday night to play the Philadelphia 76ers (19-29). The two teams completed a trade today, so that’s weird, but they also have to play a game. Both teams have lost their last two, with Dallas falling to both the Cavaliers and the Pistons whereas the 76ers were whooped by the Boston Celtics and Denver Nuggets. This is all so weird, I am having a hard time caring about basketball, but we press on. Here’s what to know:
- WHO: Dallas Mavericks at Philadelphia 76ers
- WHAT: Basketball, apparently, we’ll see if anyone cares again
- WHERE: Wells Fargo Center, Philadelphia, PA
- WHEN: 6:00 pm CST
- HOW: Channel 29, MavsTV and Playback with Kirk, Matthew, and David
For the Mavericks, Anthony Davis (still so weird to write), Dereck Lively II, and Dwight Powell are out. PJ Washington is missing the game due to personal reasons. Quentin Grimes got traded for Caleb Martin, so neither of those two guys are playing. Max Christie is available, so that’s neat. The Sixers won’t have Paul George and Jared McCain for sure. Andre Drummond and Joel Embiid are questionable, as is Eric Gordon. This could be a weird game.
We’re all kind of dead inside but the game keeps going. We’ve had a quarter million page views thanks to readers like you the past few days. Head back out to the main page and scroll and click around. We’ve written so many things they are getting pushed down the page. This is the seventh post of the day!
As you can tell below, you can join me and some other Mavs Moneyball guys in a room on Playback (embedded below) during the game (though I may not be able to start it until halftime). Also, consider joining Josh and I on Pod Maverick live after the game on YouTube, we should start after the game. Thanks so much for spending time with us here at Mavs Moneyball. Let’s go Mavs!
